(demolished)
The Leaning Farmhouse of Preston was demolished in 2004. This house is the John Avery House, #35 in Preston; Early Homes and Families, published by the Preston Historical Society in 1968 and it's a shame that it was demolished. It was originally demolished to make way for a hotel on the site which became a stalled project until the land was acquired again by a developer in 2011. The Hilton Garden Inn opened in February 2013 and stands on this exact location.
Former location: Corner of Rt. 2 and Watson Rd. in Preston, CT. On some maps this is the intersection of "Watson Rd. #2" with "Watson Rd." as the drive for this house apparently was a throughway in the earlier part of the 20th century. Nothing remains of the house to indicate its location and the topography was greatly changed by excavation and construction.
