The finer points of photography was not my original focus, and as such, many photos taken prior to 2010 are terrible. I just wanted to document that I was there from a photojournalism aspect. NATURAL DISASTERS
Great Flood of 2010 (opens in Smugmug, prints available for sale)- Eastern Connecticut and Rhode Island was inundated with rain during the latter half of March 2010, which set the stage for flooding not seen at this level since 1982. This set chronicles the flood in the following towns: Brooklyn, CT (3/30, 3/31), Norwich, CT (3/30, 3/31), Preston, CT (3/30, 3/31), Plainfield/Moosup, CT (3/30, 3/31), Sterling, CT (3/31), Jewett City, CT (3/31), and its aftermath in North Stonington, CT (4/2) and Coventry, RI (4/4). Shot with a Canon Rebel XS and cheap lenses but still a set I'm proud of to this day.
The Greater Springfield Tornado Damage, June 2-3, 2011 (opens in Smugmug, prints available for sale) - This set documents the damage from the tornado that affected towns from Springfield to Southbridge, Massachusetts on June 1, 2011. Shot with the Canon 7D over the course of two days and includes photos mainly from Springfield and Monson.
